Weekend Getaway: Severn Valley Railway Vintage Steam Train & West Midland Safari Park

Day 1:

Commence your journey from Luton as we board the coach for our trip to the Severn Valley Railway. Experience the nostalgia of classic train travel aboard authentic steam and heritage diesel locomotives. Delight in a sumptuous Vintage Afternoon Tea served in vintage carriages, featuring a splendid assortment of sandwiches, pastries, and freshly brewed tea, all elegantly presented on fine china.

Upon arrival at the Mercure Birmingham West Hotel, you will check in and have the opportunity to relax and explore the hotel’s amenities at your leisure. After a short respite, indulge in a delectable three-course dinner featuring an array of dishes that are sure to please your palate, providing an exquisite conclusion to your first day.

Day 2:

Start your morning with a hearty breakfast, setting the stage for an exhilarating adventure ahead. After checkout, we will board the coach for our visit to the West Midland Safari Park. Here, enjoy a unique safari experience while comfortably seated on the coach, allowing you to savor the park’s wildlife as our knowledgeable guide shares fascinating insights about the various animals you encounter. This immersive experience promises to be both engaging and enlightening.

Our journey continues with some free time in Bewdley, a picturesque Georgian town situated on the banks of the River Severn. With its charming architecture and numerous listed buildings, Bewdley is home to the acclaimed Bewdley Museum, where you can observe local craftsmen at work. Adjacent to the museum, you will find the lovely Jubilee Gardens and Community Orchard, perfect for a leisurely stroll.

We will depart from Bewdley at 14:00, heading back to Luton.
